A recent article in The New York Times, follows the Cleveland Botanical Garden's switch from a Flower Show (the largest outdoor garden show in North America), to the "RIPE! Food & Garden Festival", in an effort to reach a wider audience. The garden's executive director said "Food is an easier sell." The article's author, Judith H.
